In Helsinki, our activities are centered in the tea room Tokuyūan on the Suomenlinna fortress island.
In the tea room Tokuyūan we try to organise open tea gatherings or open days approximately once a month. You can also contact the association for information on a private tea gathering by email at varaukset@urasenke.fi. In addition, the association occasionally organises tea gatherings or tea demonstrations outside the tea room on the mainland Helsinki.
There is instruction in Helsinki mainly on Sundays at the tea room Tokuyūan. Instruction is available for both beginner’s level and advanced level. You can join the keiko practice in Helsinki by participating in a beginner’s course, which we try to organise twice a year (spring and autumn). If you have studied the basics of tea elsewhere, please contact the secretary general about joining the keiko by emailing paasihteeri@urasenke.fi.
