Alun perin kiinalaisen legendan mukaan rakastavaiset kutojatar (Orihime) ja paimen (Hikoboshi) kohtaavat vain kerran vuodessa tähtitaivaalla. Japanissa tätä rakastavaisten juhlaa vietetään alueesta riippuen heinä- tai elokuun 7. päivä.

Tanabata-tähtijuhlan kunniaksi Suomenlinnan teehuone Tokuyûanissa järjestetään teetilaisuus sunnuntaina 7.7. Tilaisuus alkaa klo 13:15 (12:45 lautta Kauppatorilta) ja siinä tarjotaan ohut tee usucha ja makeinen. Tilaisuuden hinta on 15 € (10 € opiskelijoille ja yhdistyksen jäsenille) ja sen voi maksaa paikan päällä käteisellä (tasaraha) tai MobilePayllä. Maksun voi myös suorittaa etukäteen maanantaihin 1.7. mennessä Suomen Chado Urasenke Tankokai yhdistys ry:n tilille FI21 2264 1800 1310 00 viitenumerolla 100078.

Huomioittehan, että kesäaikaan Suomenlinnan lautta on hyvin suosittu ja saattaa tulla täyteen, jolloin kaikkia matkustajia ei voida ottaa kyytiin. Tästä syystä suosittelemme, että saapuisitte Kauppatorille jo hyvissä ajoin ennen lautan lähtöä tai matkustaisitte jo edellisellä lautalla, jotta ehditte ajoissa teetilaisuuteen.

Tanabata star festival tea gathering will be held at the tea room Tokuyûan on Suomenlinna island on Sunday 7th July starting at 13:15 (12:45 ferry from the Market Square). Thin tea usucha and a sweet are served. The price for the tea gathering is 15 € (10 € for students and members of the Tankokai Finland Association). Payment can be made by cash (exact amount) or by MobilePay at the tea room. Payment can also be made in advance by 1st July to Chado Urasenke Tankokai Finland Association bank account FI21 2264 1800 1310 00 with reference number 100078.

Please note that during summer time Suomenlinna ferry is very crowded and all passengers might not be allowed to board in case the ferry is full. Therefore we recommend you to arrive early to the Market Square or take the previous ferry in order to arrive in time to the tea gathering.
